Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Las Vegas, NV

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Las Vegas, NV that is right for you.

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the WestCare Nevada Inc Community Involvement Center website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820
4 $31,200
5 $36,580
6 $41,960
7 $47,340
8 $52,720

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I've used daily for the last 3.5 years some would say I'm a functional addict. I did work before the pandemic, but I feel now its gotten worse and my health is started failing. I am scared and asking for help or being vulnerable is not something I do often. But as of late I have thought of stopping almost daily. But stopping is not as easy as one thinks when I have health issues and have become dependent on the drug. I need help

I'm wondering if this can be of help to anyone. I have had an addiction problem for most of my life and it led me down the darkest parts of life. I served 15 years of incarceration, I was violent, and angry at the world for never cutting me any slack. I ended up in Las Vegas lost, homeless, hungry, and with more health problems than I can list on here. I went to a west care detox and found that the staff truly cared and when I began speaking my heart about the things I wanted to accomplish in life they helped me at every turn. Many years later I am working in a rehab facility myself and spreading that love that folks so freely gave me. If I could get to Las Vegas now I would go give so many folks a huge hug for putting me on this path to real happiness

I would like to find out more about West are and other resources regarding drug addiction treatment. I am currently 5 months pregnant, a user, and know it would be best, for both, myself and my unborn child, to get help.

I need help ASAP I'm tired of being addicted to drugs. I'm in Texas nearly homeless.
