Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Covington, GA

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Covington, GA that is right for you.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the View Point Health GRAN Recovery Center website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820
4 $31,200
5 $36,580
6 $41,960
7 $47,340
8 $52,720

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I am writing to get information for my son Eric. He has been in contact with me. Currently he is in the Atkinson County jail. My son does have a bond and does not want to be bonded out. He knows that he has a drug problem and wants to get help. He says if he bonds out of jail he is afraid that he cannot face the people and situations with so many drugs. He has asked me for a Bible as I have his. I keep it in my vehicle. I raised my son to take responsibility and to always put the Lord first and trust in Him. I think my son is in a unique situation to reflect on his life, his faults and failures and also to plan His future according to God's will. My son loves the Lord and he is a remarkable young man. If you sat for five minutes with him you would see the sincerity and goodness that others see in my son. I believe in Eric's potential and I know that life has dealt him some unfair blows. Many things are his fault and he accepts that. I encourage him to stay strong, to keep faith and wait on God. I want my son to be the best that he can be but more importantly he wants to be the young man that God wants but he needs help. He cannot do this without direction and guidance. He is not not in jail for jail but he knows that if he continues life the way he has been living, he will not live long. I am not proud of the choices that he has made. He knows better but I am proud of him for admitting to his mistakes and seeing the things in his life that are dangerous, unnecessary and not aligned to the plan that God has for him. He was told about your program and he has asked the court to help him. I am asking on his behalf as he has no way to contact you. I have also left a message with the public defenders office in Alapaha GA. My son asked me to get your information and give it to the jail in Pearson. If you can help him, I beg of you to do so, he has had to swallow a lot of pride and what he wants most now is help from this addiction. Please help my son, hes the only son I have. I dont have a spare one so I beg you as his mother to help him. I had to move, sell my home and leave due to medical problems so I cannot be there for my son as I would like. Otherwise, there is nothing on this earth that would have ever prevented me from being within half an hour from my children. This is something ultimately he has to do on his own and tho I am not close, I am here as a firm and loving support for my son. My son does have a public defender. He should be allowed a phone interview. Im trying to get him some help. I had to sell my home and move for medical reasons. i am not close to my son and we dont have the money for expenses but I hope taht you can help or point me in the right direction for my son. If you can call him or write to him it will be a well remembered and very appreciated. Thank you, June

I am trying to find an appropriate place for my son to go for rehab. He has an addiction to Meth and was diagnosed with ADHD since 3rd grade. He is now 42 years old and in desperate need of help in order to have a drug free productive life. He struggles with his addiction. Jail time will not solve the problem so his public defender, is trying to get him in a program to improve his life and get him on the right path. we hope you can help us.
