Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Tyler, TX

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Tyler, TX that is right for you.

I’ve been twice once to living hope in Texarkana when it was still open and once to Brentwood, both were free but I was a teen and still had Medicaid, now I just don’t know where to turn. I literally have no friends or even one person who understands why I’m like this.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Tyler Detoxification Short-Term Adult Inpatient - Cenikor website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820
4 $31,200
5 $36,580
6 $41,960
7 $47,340
8 $52,720

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I’m m contacting you for help with my adult son. He suffers from alcoholism. He has been to treatment at Starlight in Kerrville, Texas. Unfortunately, at this time, he has no insurance and has been laid off of work. His wife had also been laid off due to the coronavirus. Can cenikore help?

2020-06-04 17:51:42

My son is 26 years old ; he wants and needs HELP. He is addicted to opioids and has tried to commit suicide several times in the past year. He has had to have CPR performed on him by his sister once; has been in a medicated induced coma to help him breath. He has spoken to a representative from your foundation and is on a waiting list for the Waco location. They are still full with no beds available and my son's mental health is at its worse. Diagnoses: Anxiety; Depression; Seizures; Irritable Bowel Syndrome; and PTSD. He does not work due to his Anxiety and Seizures, therefore does not have medical insurance. He applied for disability but was denied, so we will try again. If Texas is full we can travel to the surrounding states. Thank You Gloria Espinosa
