About Tuscarawas County Alcohol and Addiction Program
The Tuscarawas County Health Department is dedicated to promoting healthy choices, preventing disease, protecting the environment for all persons who live, work and play in their community.
Tuscarawas County Health Department envisions a community where all dimensions of health and wellness are met and children and adults alike are provided with a clean and healthy environment.Â
They are an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program. Prior to being placed in a treatment program, individuals must complete all intake documentation and a chemical dependency assessment.
Their sliding scale fees for these service are based on family size and income.
Upon completion of the assessment, the individual will develop a treatment plan including their personal treatment goals with assistance from a chemical dependency counselor.
They offer multiple levels of care ranging from education and prevention to intensive outpatient programming.
The level of care an individual is referred for is based on the diagnostic assessment.
In addition to treatment, they do urine screens unless prior arrangements have been made with someone from the alcohol and addiction program.
