About STEPS Inc Substance Abuse Day and Night Services

SERVICE Programs:

Adult Outpatient Programs
    Locations in: Brevard, Orange and Seminole Counties.
    Providing quality, evidence-based substance use treatment and educational services to adults.
    Specialized groups offered for pregnant and post-partum women.
    If a client has an infant or small child, the child may attend treatment with their parent.

Day Treatment Programs
    Locations in: Brevard and Orange Counties.
    Providing quality, evidenced-based services to clients with substance use problems utilizing cognitive behavioral group therapy, network therapy, individual counseling, motivational interviewing and family intervention as needed.
    If a client has an infant or small child, the child may attend treatment with their parent.

The Women's Residential Program

    Accepting women from all Florida Counties.
    A level II and level IV therapeutic community utilizing quality, evidenced-based practices designed for adult women who suffer from substance use and/or co-occurring disorders.
    In cases where a client has an infant, small child or gives birth while in the program, the child can live with the mother while she receives treatment.

Priority admission given to:
    Pregnant, injecting drug users
    Other pregnant substance abusers
    Injecting drug users
    All other clients


Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Program

Through extensive outreach efforts the OUD navigator works with other community associates such as, but not limited to, treatment partners, employers, educators and health care providers to facilitate comprehensive services within the continuum of care. STEPS will connect participating individuals with resources to aid in furthering their careers and/or develop employment opportunities while also offering quality treatment for SUD's inclusive of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Rapid Evaluation and Appropriate Placement Program

The REAP Program provides services to individuals from Central Florida. The purpose of the program is to provide case management to individuals in the community and align them with resources needed for everyday life. Resources include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, housing, food, clothing, employment, education, etc. Utilizing evidenced based practices to clients using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. REAP is available twenty-four (24) hours a day to provide immediate response and assistance when needed. Services are provided in office within the community. Referrals are accepted from individuals themselves or from within the community (i.e., emergency rooms, county sheriff or police, detox facilities, etc.)

Medication Assisted Treatment
Naltrexone (Vivitrol) is a medication used to treat both opioid and alcohol use disorders. The injectable extended-release form of the drug (Vivitrol) is administered once a month and blocks the effects of opiates and alcohol.
Buprenorphine is used to help individuals reduce or quit their use of heroin or other opiates, such as pain relievers like morphine. Medications such as buprenorphine, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, provide a whole-client approach to the treatment of opioid dependency. When taken as prescribed, buprenorphine is safe and effective.

Mental Health Services
We offer the resources necessary to meet personal Mental Health goals. Services delivered in an accepting and supportive atmosphere. We provide a personalized approach, tailored to individual needs through brief and comprehensive Assessments, Counseling, and Referrals to medication management, allowing clients to reach their full potential.
