About Riverpark Hospital
The ROAD Program is a residential treatment program for youth with co-occurring disorders.
Co-occurring disorders refers to the coexistence of substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.
Many adolescents turn to substance abuse in order to relieve pain and distress as a result of physiological, psychological and/or interpersonal problems.
It is River Parks philosophy that biological factors, psychological development, environment, community and societal factors are key to understanding adolescent substance abuse.
Treatment of both disorders is provided through an integrated approach in which both disorders are treated simultaneously.
