IDEA is a counseling center that provides linguistically and culturally appropriate counseling, education, therapy and referral services to prevent and eliminate all forms of abuse.
The Mission
Is to guide individuals and families in addressing behaviors which impede healthy lifestyles and create generational cycles of substance abuse and family violence. IDEA Believes in treating the whole person to effectively guide them to recovery. They use only Evidence Based Practices (EBP) to disrupt patterns, and challenge beliefs and attitudes that impede recovery.
The goal
is to create a new frame of reference.

Once before, yes. At the time it was a brand new facility and I was their 5th intake. There was a learning curve for staff and, of course, patients. They were a little hard core as far the rules. From day one you were taken off of everything. Including caffeine, sugar and very little nicotine was permitted until a peer representative led revolt took place.
