  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year

3 $25,820

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

The employees stay on their cell phones and always have a bad attitude. They need new management there. They only care about the money and how they look. I was only there for 10 hours and when I left I left with my head pounding hurting so bad because they don’t detox you they just place you in a room and make you wait until they get done doing whatever they call them self Doing. They told me I could have visitors after 30 days before I arrived then when I got into the rehab it changed to no visitors due to covid. Yeah right . They make you think it’s the best place to recover at.
