About El Proyecto del Barrio
The Outpatient Perinatal Program of El Proyecto del Barrio (El Proyecto) provides counseling and referrals to clients with substance abuse and mental health problems.
The Program is staffed by bilingual and drug-certified counselors and provides services for women who are pregnant, postpartum or parenting.
The program assists clients in areas including domestic violence/sexual abuse, self-esteem, peer support, life skills, health education, drug education, 12 step/relapse, and parenting who receive treatment rather than incarceration.
General Relief recipients with substance abuse issues are also treated in the program.
The program includes a 1st 5 LA Program for parents or caregivers that have an addiction problem and are caring for children under 5 years of age
Program Fees
- Ability to pay is not a consideration for admission.
- Fees for services will be charged depending on financial ability to pay according to the Fee Determination form (UMDAP) and Fee Agreement Form.
- If applicable, participants may schedule a weekly, monthly, bimonthly or in full payment schedule.
- Medical eligibility constitutes form of payment.

- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
