About Jericho Project

Jericho Project is a men`s recovery program based in Brisbane CA that hold 130 men.

They take men out of jail, who have been in and out of jails/prison all of their lives and also young men who are heading down that path.

JP teaches these men educational, vocational, and social skills.

They pride themselves on being a fully self-sufficient program, which means they do not receive any type of government funding or grants.

They go out everyday and earn income through several vocational training departments.

They have a construction company, landscaping company, moving company, warehousing operation and have recently begun a ranching operation.

All of the money made goes towards keeping their doors open and providing more opportunities to men who really want a chance at changing their lives.

Is this treatment center really free?

Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers (which are based on your income and you can qualify for free treatment) and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.

Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Brisbane, CA

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Brisbane, CA that is right for you.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Jericho Project website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820
4 $31,200
5 $36,580
6 $41,960
7 $47,340
8 $52,720

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I am trying to find the best program for my son! Hes 24 years old and has been using drugs since about age 14/15 and has been in the juvenile system and in and out of jail since He turned 18 years old! He is currently in Orange County Jail and is facing serious prison time. He has a loving heart and has had not been in trouble over the past 4 years, even fulfilled his 3 year probation term, but continued to abuse drugs which we believe is what is causing him to act out and get into trouble with the law! We believe your program can help him turn his life around and keep him from living out his life in a correctional facility! He has applied to your program from jail and is waiting for your response to whether hell be accepted or denied. Please help us before its to late for him. He would like to be able to inform the judge regarding your program and is willing to stay in your program as along as it takes. Please help my son! Sincerely, A loving mom

My son is a 25 yr old, homeless, meth addict with mental health issues. While on probation he committed felony burglary. He's facing his first strike and a hefty sentence. We are working with his attorney to have him committed. As we believe prison/jail is not an effective solution for him. Although he has committed these atrocious acts, he is genuinely a loving, kind, and intelligent boy. And I say boy, because although 25 he has the mind set of a teenager and believes in conspiracy theories and other outrageous stories. We have attempted to seek help for him multiple times in the past, to no avail. Either programs cost beyond our means, are too crowded, or he leaves after his initial intake. I am afraid that I am going to lose my child in the system or worse yet, he'll end up dead. Although I do not believe he will ever have a completely 'normal' life, I do believe he could have a good and hopeful future with the right help. Please please pleaae help my boy. Please help him, where so many, including myself have failed him.

I am looking into help for my son. He will be 28 in Sept. He is incarcerated at the moment for different charges but they all stem from being addicted to meth. When he isn't in jail he is on the streets being addicted. He tried calling after receiving a letter while incarcerated but during the interview he was asked his social security# in which at that point he was skeptical. Can you please send me information regarding your facility so that I can look further into the program. Thank you.

I'm a SUD counselor and over the years I've seen many clients obtain success though the Jerico Project. Because of my experience with your program I feel compelled to assist an individual who successfully completed the Jerico Project (The Ranch), became an employee for a short period of time and has since moved forward by building a life with his fiance and son. He obtained employment in our local community, he is a wonderful father and dedicated family man, he is clean and sober and crime free. There is no doubt that his success is largely due to his experience at the Jerico Project and his story is like the many other Jerico success stories I've known of in my career as a treatment provider. This individual is continuing the path of building a successful life by seeking employment that will advance his future, but as with most Jerico Project clients, his background check creates a hurdle that can stop or slow down the process of advancing. He has attempted to obtain proof of successfully completing Jerico but for reasons that seem personal (his leaving his employment position abruptly),he has been denied proof of completion. As mentioned above, I've known the Jerico Project to be a part of many success stories as it is the mission of their program, therefore providing this individual proof of successful completion would be an opportunity for Jerico to offer long term support for their clients as well as improving the communities they live in. Your response with suggestions for resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated, please respond via email the process to move forward with a resolution to this situation, Sincerely, Genevieve Dunlap

I AM REACHING OUT IN HOPE JERICHO PROJECT WILL TAKE PART IN HOPE OF CHANCE A STEP TO HELP MY BROTHER BEGIN A NEW LIFE..

Jerico sucks they treat you bad and you will be there for a year with no visit in a house full of 6-9 dudes and they will start to promise you a bunch of stuff at first so don't believe them.

Jericho Project is truly the only place that is going to actually rehabilitate a criminal drug addict back into a full fledged productive member of society inside and out. You will graduate this program with an unmatched work ethic that will set you apart from the average person. You will be in the best shape of your entire life from the mandatory group workouts with the top notch gym equipment being led by the trainers that are very knowledgeable. You will be able to get your GED or your high school diploma by going to “school” with certified school instructors. If you already have your GED or diploma then you’ll be participating in different vocational classes learning How to do everything from start to finish drywall installation, carpentry, concrete, forming for sidewalks, walkways, curbs etc To electrician skills.
