How Alpha Oaks Work
Admission
A telephone screening or interview may be all that is necessary. Some clients may need an assessment for services provided by Sacramento County Alcohol and Drug Services Division.Their program is open to women over the age of 18.
They do not discriminate in the delivery of service due to race, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, disability or ability to pay.
Opened in October 1977, this property provides 18 beds for women in their recovery program.
In addition, in September 1985, the 5 bed detox program was started.
These beds are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Their main office is also located here.
They operate two residential treatment facilities in the Carmichael/ Fair Oaks area of Sacramento County.
They welcome women from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, income levels and severity of addiction.
The "social model" of treatment is their preference.
This means that they primarily focus on helping women develop the practical day-to-day habits and relationship skills to lead meaningful, satisfying lives without alcohol or drugs.
They encourage their women to become involved in 12 Step programs both while in residence and afterward.
Is this treatment center really free?
Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers (which are based on your income and you can qualify for free treatment) and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.
